Care in your home

Practice skills where everyday life happens.

Your BCBA builds an individualized plan around communication, daily routines, and the goals your family wants support with. A behavior technician works directly with your child, with BCBA supervision and caregiver involvement in every program.

Oakland services are delivered in your home. Our Early Learner Center is in Albany, about 15 to 30 minutes north depending on where you live, and your BCBA can help you decide whether a center schedule fits.

Oakland questions, answered.

What Oakland families ask us most before starting in-home ABA.

Do you offer ABA therapy in Oakland, CA?
Yes. We provide in-home ABA across Oakland for children, teens, and young adults ages 2 to 25. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst designs and oversees every program, and a consistent behavior technician works 1:1 in your home.
Is there an Animate center in Oakland?
No. Oakland families receive services at home. Our Early Learner Center is in Albany, on San Pablo Avenue, and is an option for young children whose BCBA recommends a center setting.
I have Kaiser in Oakland. How do I get started with Animate?
Ask your Kaiser pediatrician for an ABA referral. Kaiser routes ABA through Catalight, its provider network, and you can ask Catalight for Animate Behavior by name. Our Kaiser page walks through each step.
Which Oakland neighborhoods do you serve?
All of them, subject to current staff availability. Rockridge, Temescal, Lake Merritt, Fruitvale, the Dimond, Montclair, and East Oakland are all in our regular service area. If you don't see your neighborhood, reach out anyway.
Do you work with the Regional Center of the East Bay?
Yes. RCEB funds ABA for many Oakland families, especially children under 3 through Early Start. Tell us your service coordinator's name when you reach out and we will coordinate with them.
Do you provide ABA in Spanish?
Yes. Our team delivers care directly in English and Spanish, and we adapt each program to your family's home, culture, and routines.
What does an in-home session look like?
A behavior technician works with your child inside everyday moments: play, meals, getting ready, and outings around your neighborhood. The BCBA reviews progress regularly and adjusts the plan with you.
