New to ABA Therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is a therapeutic intervention for Autism Spectrum Disorder and other Developmental Disabilities that utilizes principles of behavioral psychology, learning, and most of all positive reinforcement to shape behavior, teach skills and achieve goals. It is considered the gold-standard, evidence-based intervention and treatment that can improve functional status, behavior, and communication. ABA therapy is usually delivered by Behavior Technicians under the watchful supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

What experience does our ideal candidate have?

We are typically looking for applicants with at least 6 months of experience in the field. We require Behavior Technicians candidates to have RBT training. Uncertified applicants are only considered if they are part of Animate's annual RBT training cohort.

What advice would you give an eager applicant?

Emphasize any experience you have working with children, especially those with special needs. If you have specific experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or any related field, make sure to showcase that. Use concrete examples to demonstrate your skills in implementing behavior intervention plans and working with diverse populations.

What is the interview like?

Interview questions included how applicants would respond to certain situations that could come up on the job and a section where they interact with a real client. The interview is designed to allow candidates to demonstrate their skills in many different contexts.
