Is the center a fit?

Designed for early learning in a shared setting.

The center may fit young learners whose meaningful goals benefit from structured play, individual teaching, shared activities, and practice with transitions and routines. Final fit depends on the BCBA assessment, the learner’s comfort and assent, authorization, staffing, schedule, and current availability.

01

Early learners

Young learners who may benefit from play-based teaching and opportunities to learn in a shared environment.

02

Goals suited to the setting

Communication, play, transitions, group participation, and everyday routines may be practiced alongside individualized 1:1 teaching.

03

Fit decided clinically

Age or diagnosis alone does not determine placement. Your BCBA considers goals, support needs, assent, authorization, and availability.

A flexible daily rhythm

What a center day can include.

The order, length, and mix of activities are individualized. A session may include:

01

Arrival & warm-up

A predictable welcome, settling-in time, choices, and a transition into the session.

02

Individual teaching

Focused 1:1 practice built around the learner’s communication, play, and daily-life goals.

03

Play & movement

Learner-led play, movement, sensory breaks, and preferred activities are part of engaged learning.

04

Shared activities

When appropriate and available, learners may practice alongside peers through play and shared interests.

05

Everyday routines

Snack, cleanup, toileting, and transitions are addressed only when they are part of the individualized plan.

06

Family handoff

The team shares relevant updates and connects center strategies with routines at home.

There is no fixed center-day template. The BCBA adjusts pacing, activities, breaks, and support around the individual learner.

Center questions

What families ask before center-based ABA.

These answers describe our general process. The clinical team confirms what applies to each learner.

Who is the Early Learner Center designed for?
It is designed for young learners whose individualized goals may benefit from structured play, 1:1 teaching, shared activities, and practice with transitions and routines. A BCBA determines clinical fit after assessment.
Is there a fixed age cutoff?
We do not use age alone to decide whether the center is appropriate. Developmental needs, goals, comfort in a shared setting, assent, authorization, staffing, schedule, and availability all matter. Contact us for current eligibility and availability.
Is the center a school or daycare?
No. The Early Learner Center is an ABA treatment setting, not a school or childcare program. Services require clinical assessment, an individualized treatment recommendation, and authorization or an approved funding arrangement.
What does a center session look like?
There is no fixed full-day curriculum. A session may combine arrival routines, 1:1 teaching, learner-led play, movement or sensory breaks, everyday routines, and shared activities. The BCBA individualizes the order, pace, and length.
Will my child work with peers?
Peer opportunities may be included when they are clinically appropriate, available, and part of the learner’s plan. They are not forced and are not guaranteed in every session.
How are caregivers involved?
Caregivers receive relevant updates and may participate in coaching with the BCBA. Together, the team identifies strategies that can carry into home and community routines.
What schedule is available?
The center operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM Pacific. An individual learner’s schedule depends on clinical recommendation, authorization, staffing, family availability, and the openings available when services begin.
Are these photographs of the actual center?
No. The current supporting images are representative stock or AI-generated scenes. They are not photographs of Animate Behavior’s facility, clients, or staff. We will replace the gallery with real facility photography when it becomes available.
How do we get started?
Submit a service request or call us. Client Services typically replies within one business day, a clinician reviews the request, and the team helps clarify coverage, assessment, authorization, setting fit, schedule, and current availability.
